Re: Smallville Season 7 Disc 3

I just purchased this Season of Smallville, (on Blu-ray) and am having the exact same problem with the last two episodes on this disk, has there been any new solutions on resolving this issue? When I contacted WB for disk replacements, they didn't even question me with sending replacements, there on...

Movie Robots in multipul pieces

It seems that there isn't one file that contains all of the movie in the Blu-ray movie of Robots.

Has anyone else ripped this disk?

Do you have to combine these pieces some how, before using and encoder like Handbrake.

Incredibles Combo Pack very slow rip

Has anyone else tried ripping the new Disney's Combo pack blu ray disk. It took about 13 minutes before it even began to save out data and then all during the rip it kept stopping for several seconds then starting again. It's the longest rip for a blu ray I ever done, took 52 minutes to complete, no...

Re: DASPI v1.2 - MUST reinstall

I've been using MKV for about 8 months now, and I must say that this is the best Blu-ray ripper out there. I have never had any issues with the software. Any problems I experienced has always been due to bad disks, or something I missed during installation. I you're having problems with MKV, it woul...

Re: Sub Title Issues...

I guess I can tell you my work flow, and you can take it for what its worth! I use Make MKV to rip the disk into MKV format. I then check to see if the audio is in AC3, if not, I use an media transcoder, to convert any audio that doesn't show up as DD, (dolby digital audio.) The transcoder I use is ...

Re: Sub Title Issues...

Are you just using the raw MKV files, created by MakeMKV, or are you using another software to encode the files created by MakeMKV? Personally, I use Handbrake to encode the files created by MakeMKV and use the include subtitles option, (forced only) to include subtitles when needed. The file size i...

Re: Subtitles and forced subtitles

For the Blu-ray Disks that you would like only the forced subtitles, be sure to only check the export forced subtitles boxes in the subtitle folders you select within the movie folder your selecting. I use the english subtitles so all but english subs are unchecked. Also, beginning with each subtitl...

For anyone that cares, the disk was manufactured bad, got a replacement and it ripped fine!

All's right with the world now!

Re: External Blu-ray Drives via E-SATA not recognized

Hi Mike Sorry for not getting back to you on this, totally forgot that I had posted it. When the drive is connected via the Wiebetech Ultra Drive Dock interface, the BD drive is not seen, no disk will mount. If I connect an hard drive to the same Wiebetech Ultra Drive Dock interface, (same ESATA cab...

External Blu-ray Drives via E-SATA not recognized

I use an internal LG E-SATA blu-ray drive, (model WH10LS30) connected via a Weibetech Super Drive dock, (externally.) I can get the drive to be recognized through the Weibetech Super Drive Dock, when using the docks firewire connector, but not when I use the dock's E-SATA port via the interanl E-SAT...

Re: DTS Lossless Audio & Handbrake

handbrake uses very very old ffmpeg. It does not know about lossless tracks. Maybe try a more recent version from the handbrake nightly builds. Thanks skittle After checking into more of the inner workings of handbrake, (by the way I do use the nightly builds of handbrake) you nailed it. The curren...

DTS Lossless Audio & Handbrake

Has anyone had problems with including the DTS Lossless Audio track along with the DTS 3/2+1, (5.1) audio and then encoding the resulting file in handbrake? When I only include the DTS 3/2+1, (5.1) audio track in the output MKV file, handbrake has no problems encoding the file. When I also include t...

Re: Prince of Persia failed to rip

UPDATE: I tested this disk in my home theater blu-ray player and the audio momentarily dropped out in one place, (at the beginning of the movie.) The surface of the disk, when examined very closely, seem to have a faint fogging of the surface, (in one area toward the center of the disk.) I've decide...

Re: Prince of Persia failed to rip

@kfreeb Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I had no trouble at all using the PC version 1.6.0 of MakeMKV to make both a full disc copy and a movie-only copy of the U.S. version of "The Prince of Persia". Now to see what "mike admin" offers as an explanation for the following...

Prince of Persia failed to rip

Using direct access mode MKV failed to rip the combo pack version of "Prince of Persia". I tried ripping it in OS mode as well and failed. It seems to leave my blu-ray drive in a state where I need to power it down and turn it back on for my Mac to see it again. There's two logs, one from ...
