It seems current MakeMKV version, after sending UHD dump for titles not supported yet, is able to retrieve the proper hashed key even if not physically present in the keydb.cfg file. Maybe Mike has found a way to allow MakeMKV to silently retrieve from a remote host the needed volume key to decrypt ...

Give Mike some time. Mike never said it was not possible, only that it is not CURRENTLY possible. Not even that - it is impossible with current version of MakeMKV, as new decryption code needs to be written. Key-wise it is possible even now - the same magic that unlocks 2.0 MKBv61 can unlock 2.1 MK...

Sorry mate, but did you ever try to think that a firmware update (a phantomatic 1.0.4) could be not a so called "great idea" for a device ? Sometimes people think that any update is useful, while it is not always true. Anyway, you can do anything you want, but I totally disagree your choic...

1.02 burning is the same as 1.03 so why don't you downgrade it in order to have also UHD reading enabled ?

Anyway the answer is NO, the NS50 firmware will not work on a NS40 device.

They are almost the same. No differences in reading UHDs as well as in the ripping speed.

I tried to load the Asus 3.02 firmware that I got from Asus website called ASUS ODD FW Updater for BW-16D1HT.exe But each time I press Start I get a popup saying: There is no target drive. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance, people :) Because no Asus drive is detected. You have to use the LG...
