Re: BD with multiple video tracks in one stream
I do not believe what you are seeing is a multi-angle video. The resolution is wrong. Multi-angle resolution videos would all be the same, i.e., 1920x1080. The 720x480 indicates to me that this is a picture-in-picture video.Southrop wrote:I believe this is also known as Multi-Angle

Never heard of such a thing. Besides, this title is out there, long before street date.Krawk wrote:People trying to rip certain titles before street date might be facing street lock protection.

Re: Supergirl series 1 bluray stuttering when ripped to pc
While the full audio (DTS-HD MA and DTS) and subtitle options were available, the chapters were not. This method has proven successful for both Supergirl and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Download ChapterGrabber (google it). You can then point it at a decrypted Blu-ray and get the chapter values. I hav...

Re: Suggestions - features
I usually convert it to an .mp4 because it is a widely used format, but in the future hope to convert it to H.265 when more DVD players will accept that compression codec. Really? IMHO, MKV is a more popular wrapper program as it handles a lot more in the way of data types. DVD and Blu-ray players ...

Re: Ice Age Collision Course
I've sent the dump file to svq@makemkv.com. This blu ray disc apparently phones home and requires a code before playing in a conventional blu ray player of PowerDVD That does not make sense. Expecting a standalone Blu-ray player to be connected to the internet is just plain stupid. No manufacturer ...

Re: Titles out of sequence when ripping tv shows
That is not 100% reliable. There are times that production requirements result in the production numbers not being in order.preserve wrote:Some shows I check the production number of the episode to get the right order.
One sure way is to play the DVD/Blu-ray and take notes about the episodes if there are issues.

Any, or all, files dealing with AACS are not required to be on a Blu-ray disc. Discs can be authored without AACS protection.Woodstock wrote:After all, at least one required directory has been removed.

Re: Explain TV Series Ripping.
There isn't much MakeMKV can do when the disk author doesn't provide single-episode play lists, but there IS manual mode that can let you create such a play list on DVDs. I don't do anime, so I can't speak about them, but every TV series that I have on DVD has an option to play individual episodes ...

Re: UHD Blu Ray
I just picked the LG WH16NS40 (1.02) BD-XL Drive, and tried to play a few of my UHD Discs. And it won't open any of them. Whats weird is they say there ACCS is 60. And on the front page it says they support 62... So why doesn't it work. Also I can't seem to get it to show anything in the logs so I ...

Re: Title issues on ripping tv media
Episodes CAN simply be "jump-to" scenes in a disk menu. That is an over simplification. I've authored a few DVDs and used separate files for each episode on the disk. Everything is done via playlists. You'd have a separate playlist for each episode and a playlist for the "play all&qu...

Re: DVD Backup + ISO Backup?
I find it strange that DVDFab isn't able to make an ISO copy of a DVD that will play 100% of the time. Dual layer DVDs might not fit on dual layer blank media, as blank media is not at large as it is possible on manufactured discs. You can also try DVDFab's PassKey program along with the ImgBurn pro...
