Re: Clarification on flashing LG WP50NB40 (Slim)
The two USB cables are plugged directly into the computer, just in case I removes and reinserted all the cables. I redid the flash as above, MakeMKV status: Drive Information OS device name: I: Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST Product: BD-RE BU40N Revision: 1.00 Serial number: SIM03212K2417 Firmware date: 21...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Swing and a miss but at least I didn't brick the drive. I used the 1.03MK that is in the MK pack and then applied the basic BU40N 1.00 (even though there are higher versions). Reads blus still but not 4K UHDs. Note that the BU40N is from your pack as MK doesnt have 1.00 - have I crossed the streams...

Re: LG WH14NS40 Drive purchused 2014 Firmware 1.03
Hello, I am in the process of learning how I can make my Drive read the data of off a UHD. The first Note of the "BEFORE FLASHING" section says 1. Make sure your Drive was built after 2016 on label or late 2015 if you want to risk it. I would assume that if I bought my drive in 2014, this...

Re: WH16NS40 Firmware 1.05 Uncertanty
I update from 1.03 to 1.05 and some of the newer media now plays as it should. With 1.03 video would often hang and jitter or not play at all. I am glad I looked to see if a new firmware was available from LGs site. updates from lg are bad for UHD bluray and bad for bill but yeah your telling peopl...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
Hi, I am locking for a drive to rip my collection. I was locking now for the BH16NS55 but this is only available from Hitachi-LG BH16NS55 and it looks different from the outside as well, does it matter? Is the Hitachi-Lg the same? If this is not working I would go for the LG Electronics WH16NS40, b...

Re: is it Error with external drive or DNS for encryption
yeah this is strange thats a standard Blu-ray and it aacs 63 and makemkv supports that i think we are in the 70s now not sure
only think i can think of is makemkv cant fully talk to the drive is it in a docker or something try installing it natively no sandboxing that way

Re: Ejects Blue Ray
Does it act any different if you don't have makemkv open when you put the disc in? It was just sit in the drive. If I try to read it via file explorer it will just eject it again and say insert disk. Do I need to flash the pioneer? Send the drive back and choose a different flavor? i haven never se...
