Weird issue.. Says it rips with no errors but mkv won't play
Bought a DVD at Walmart today out of the $3 bin. Daddy Day Care / Daddy Day Camp dual feature disc. The ONLY error I get is when I first insert the disc and it says "scrambled sector." I've seen this many times and never has affected the rip. This disc I select the two files for the two mo...

Re: Please send the file dump_SD_xxxx.tgz ...
I came here to ask the same question. I was ripping one of my older Blu-Ray's and I got the same message. It appears to have ripped fine. I sent the file to support@makemkv.com like it said.

When you say "it was obvious", what stood out?

Re: Error in DVD drive, BR drive works fine with same DVD
I'm having the same issue on a disc I just purchased yesterday from the $4 bin at Wal-Mart. It's a double-feature disc with "Daddy Day Care" and "Daddy Day Camp". When I first insert the disc, I get the Error: 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:READ OF SCRAMBLED SECTOR WITHOUT AUTHENT...

Re: What is the best internal blu-ray reader for ripping?
Pioneer BDXL. I originally bought a Sony BD burner, but I found that it would overheat after one or two BD disks. The Pioneer doesn't overheat and I can rip large collections all day. Which model Pioneer do you use? I've read a couple of reviews that mentioned rip-lock on some current models. I've ...

What's everyone's favorite DVD and Blu-ray drives here?
I need to buy some new ones for a new build and thought I would see what all of you have had good luck with. The two current drives I use are an (Blu-ray) LG WH14NS40 (rev.2 I think...) and a (DVD) HP 575781-800 (aka GH80N - A2HH). The Blu-ray drive is just OK all around. It does a much better job w...

Keeping Up With the Joneses
Looks like it has Street Lock. When opening I get the error "BD+ code processed but no FUT's were obtained, errors may follow"
Sure enough, the rip is junk. However is plays fine on my 6+ year old Sony player.
