Re: UHD support
Thanks Mike for the great software! I have two questions, 1) Is their an advantage of making backups in BDMV format compared to ISO? 2) When making full disc UHD backups with Makemkv in BDMV format, does it retain all the information including HDR10 and Dolby Vision? 1) I am not aware of any, perso...

Re: UHD drives
Well I bought a cheap copy of The Amazing Spider-man 2 from eBay since I was having issues with Deadpool. Ripped perfectly with my ASUS BW-16D1HT (firmware 3.01), so my Deadpool issue must be something with that movie/disc. Has anyone else experienced an issue where only 1/2 the movie rips properly?...

Re: UHD support
That makes perfect sense, thank you! I've tried roku, my samsung 4k disk player, and the xbox 1x, all running plex. Source is a full .mkv file of star trek into darkness. No go for me, it appears that plex feels it must transcode everything, so that transcoding is likely stripping out the atmos off...

Re: UHD drives
Greetings: I purchased same drive from Fry. Got cert. revoked and a couple of other similar messages. Mine came with the Power DVD software, which I did not install. In fact it behaved like the Pioneer uhd optical drive. I sent mine back for credit. I am expecting Asus BW-16D1HT. George Got mine fr...

Re: UHD drives
Also tried it with my Ultra HD "official" drive, just to see if I could do an encrypted backup, got a similar but different error: Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:LOGICAL UNIT HAS NOT SELF-CONFIGURED YET' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00063.m2ts' at offset '21286090752' DEBUG: Co...

Re: UHD drives
Am getting this error about 1/2 way through, even when I just do a backup w/o decryption: Backing up disc into folder "S:/UHD Rips/backup/DEADPOOL" Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files. Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:TIMEOUT ON LOGICAL UNIT' occurred while rea...

Re: LOGAN...BLU RAY...NO FTU FOUND
That has nothing to do with FUT errors - you have a defect in the disk that cause the drive to time out when you hit it. If cleaning does not fix the issue, you would need to get the disk replaced. I guess that makes sense since it stops about 20% in. The disc is flawless so I wasn't expecting that...

Re: LOGAN...BLU RAY...NO FTU FOUND
I have checked these options and still cannot get Logan BD (US rental) to rip properly. I have also tried other ripping products (AnyDVD, DVDFab) and they all experience a similar issue. About 21% of the way through the rip, I see an I/O error on the blu-ray drive. This is the exact error from MakeM...
