Re: Certain titles 20th Century Fox and Universal Pictures

Some parts might be saturating your bandwidth for you network. Does this still happen with a wired connection?

Without knowing what you used, and what process you did, I think we have no iDea as to why.

Because ripping requires more accuracy than just playback.

Re: Thank you

I thought I would just put the stuff I liked on a drive, and still use discs for the random stuff. I found it much easier to just put everything on the drive, and archive the discs. I went from a 1TB drive to three 1TB drives and ran out of electrical outlets! I have a FireWire JBoD now, but next I'...

Re: MKV Help Please - Extracting Chapters!

It's a somewhat long process with mkvtoolnix, but after you rip the disc with the big file(thank the company that mastered it that way) you need to do something like this: Open the big file in VLC, or other player that can read, and work, with chapters. Open mkvtoolnix and Add the big file. I think ...

Re: How do you make a MakeMKV MKV file, dlna compliant?

From what I understand there is really no DNLA standard, so it's kinda up to every vendor to handle it how they want. There are four ways to deal with PGS. A - Include them without compression. B - Include them with compression. C - Don't include them. D - Convert them to something else. So, I would...

Maybe the Samsung is not happy with PGS subtitles, and the DNLA service throws a fit and stops scanning.

Re: How do you make a MakeMKV MKV file, dlna compliant?

Maybe posting the MediaInfo data from a good file and a bad file will let us see the differences.

Another thing that you might want to try is to remux the MakeMKV files with mkvtoolnix to fix any problem that might have come up during the rip.

Re: iS MAKEMKV REALLY WHAT i NEED?

Well, MakeMKV can backup the whole disc like AnyDVD HD can, but as you know MakeMKV can also just mux individual parts into their own files which AnyDVD HD can not do.

Perhaps different versions which is a new tactic being used by the studios to frustrate the legitimate customer, but not even cause the pirates to pause. So different versions of different versions (Regular, Limited Edition, Special Edition), plus different versions for different regions (not everyo...

Re: Recommended Way to Convert VC1 MKV to H264 MKV?

If they are interlaced VC1 then you need to get something that transcodes interlaced VC1.

If it's just regular VC1 then Handbrake would be fine.
