Burn Blu-ray full disc backup on Mac?

Hi, I apologize if this has been asked and answered already, but all I could find in a search were references to a Windows solution -- none for Mac. If I use the full disc backup option in makemkv to backup a BD to a directory on my hard drive, how do I subsequently burn a copy to blu-ray media that...

Re: Problems with The Princess Bride Blu-Ray rip

I ripped my BD of The Princess Bride without any problem, about a week ago. I have since watched it all the way through, and there are no problems that I've noticed. Obviously my experience isn't terribly valuable to you, but it does let you know that this isn't a problem with all Princess Bride BDs...

Re: So, can someone summarize the state of forced subtitles?

Sometimes subtitles aren't in an actual subtitle track, but already burned into the picture. That means they're just elements of the image and not truly text. Some movies come like that out of the box. For example, Buzz Lightyear's Spanish dialog in Toy Story 3 is burned-in to the Blu-ray. There are...

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set

I don't have the time to put together a detailed step-by-step guide right now, and I'm leaving for a business trip in a couple days. However the steps to do this have been outlined here and/or on the HandBrake forum. Look for a post about dealing with blu-ray subtitles for the movie Avatar. If I rec...

Re: Star Wars Subtitles - english

thelangs: This is a good idea, I guess... except that I had different results, and so did somebody else. Here's what I found when I ripped Return of the Jedi (copied and pasted from the other thread, but relevant here): I ripped Return of the Jedi last night, and the correct subtitle track was NOT t...

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set

I'm on Lion, and I was able to rip all 6 discs of the SW saga set after upgrading to .15. Forced subtitles don't appear to be working for me either, unless I select the last subtitle track manually. joe I ripped Return of the Jedi last night, and the correct subtitle track was NOT the last one. I h...

Re: Problem with Toy Story 2 BD

Thanks for your replies. Despite the problems it seemed to be having when ripping, the movies appear to be complete -- though both of them are significantly smaller on disc than the sizes initially indicated. 3 GB seems like too much of a difference for the home video logo sequence to account for, b...

Problem with Toy Story 2 BD

Hi, About a week ago I started ripping my Blu-ray collection with makemkv, encoding the movies with Handbrake, and storing them on a Plex media server in my home theater. I've used makemkv for a couple dozen discs with no problems, until now. For most of that time I've been using v. 1.6.14, but yest...
