Sound of Music 50th Anniversary -- disc fails to open
Has anyone had success making an MKV from the retail disc of The Sound of Music 50th Anniversary Edition? I've tried using the latest versions of MakeMKV (as of Dec. 30 2016) on both a Mac and Windows machine, and receive the same "disc failed to open" error on both. I found an older threa...

Re: Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 - US Retail (title)
Is there a confirmed MPLS for the Amazon combo-pack (BD, DVD + Digital HD)?
Thanks,

Re: Ender's Game Bluray
Anyone have any luck yet discovering the correct playlist for Ender's Game Retail? People were saying 815 or 821 were correct, but now reports coming in that those skip as well. Anyone with a definitive answer? I bought the disc but have never seen the film, so I'd be worried I wouldn't notice a jum...

Re: Expendables 2
Looks like Expendables 2 is another example of Netflix (and probably other rental agencies) agreeing to rent out Blu-rays without the Lossless audio track. This has happened on a handful of discs so far (Hunger Games and more) and is a pretty abhorrent practice IMHO. If you want Lossless audio, you ...

Re: Cabin in the Woods - 59 MPLS titles
I'm seeing 3 Titles with 16 chapters of about the same length on the retail disc as well (00060.mpls, 00114.mpls, 00133.mpls).
Anyone know which one is the correct one?
Thx.

Re: Cabin in the Woods - 59 MPLS titles
Also here looking for an answer on this annoying new tactic of fake MPLS titles. Always amusing how the movie studios think they are going to prevent ripping (legal or not) with new protection schemes, when they will all eventually be broken by the far more numerous (and ultimately always smarter) p...

Pleasantville problems?
Has anyone been able to rip Pleasantville? I've tried a few different discs and it fails consistently. I've tried MakeMKV on both Mac and Windows, and have also tried other apps (DVDFab, SlySoft AnyDVD HD) and they fail as well. Seems as if Pleasantville either has some kind of super copy protection...

Hunger Games: which file to rip?
Looking at the Blu-ray for Hunger Games, MakeMKV reports an unusually large number of Main Title files. You sometimes see this when a Blu-ray contains both the Theatrical and Unrated cut of a film, and you can generally tell which is which by the running time and there are only two obvious choices. ...

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
If you've got DirectVobSub installed (Windows only) you can select any of the Subtitle tracks once playback has started. If you select the last one, you'll get the alien forced subtitles. It's a bit of a pain to have to remember to perform this manual step rather than just hitting Play and sitting b...

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
Can those reporting success with 1.6.15 verify that forced subtitles (the alien languages) are also displaying correctly? I used the AnyDVD + MakeMKV combo and found that although the rips were successful, the forced alien subtitles don't appear unless I manually enable the last Subtitle track via D...

I can also confirm that AnyDVD HD running in the background to remove the copy protection, followed by a standard MakeMKV rip works just fine. Have all 6 Star Wars BDs on the NAS now.

Fails: Superman Returns & Napolean Dynamite
Not sure if anyone else has had success with these discs, but I get fails in the same location each time trying to rip Superman Returns and Napolean Dynamite. Using latest version of all software/drivers, running Mac OS X and an LG Blu-ray drive.

Why isn't Lossless audio track enabled by default?
New to MakeMKV, forgive the noob question/observation: I ripped about 30 of my Blu-ray discs before I noticed the disclosure arrow under the Main Title (I know: RTFM). I noticed that, strangely, the Lossless audio track is NEVER checked, but the child/core audio track beneath it is always checked. I...
