Re: Hash keys still sitting at jan28.... :(
Just find it odd for the past week prior to hash keys disks were updated daily. Now nothing. Mind u deuhd has no saw movie release either. Maybe code has changed on the disks. Thanks for your concern about not posting this. Noted Just a thought. It is not like mike is earning a living off MakeMKV, ...

Can anyone confirm that this drive will work as long as I don’t upgrade the firmware? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-16x-ext ... Id=5450155 It is not on the "friendly list" so I must assume that it will not work. Why not get a internal drive from the friendly list and an external case (U...

Re: UHD drives
You should first dump your 1.03 firmware before downgrading. Anyway, it can be downgraded and made UHD friendly again. For clarification, I was given the following two links that "TeddyRaspin" had posted and it did the job perfectly. https://forum.redfox.bz/threads/anydvd-uhd-leaked-key-p...

Re: UHD drives
Just tried this and it worked perfectly. Am trying with my Hacksaw Ridge UHD and it is working. On my Asus drive it would always fail. It is currently throwing errors but it has gotten farther than my Asus drive. The main point is that it now works and is reading UHD disks. Thanks for all the help.

Re: UHD drives
That should get you up and running again with 1.02. Then you can cross flash if you so desire. But get it downgraded first. Will that work on a win10 machine? And will I have to remove all drives but the LG drive. If I must, I will do it but it is not fun. My only other desktop is working on a WD R...

Check page 6 of this thread: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16885&start=75 If you are referring to the answer "Asus 3.02 clean firmware with flasher (to allow crossflash or easy upgrade from previous versions)", I have tried that and I get "Write DRAM NG 0...

Re: UHD drives
I'd recommend doing some test rips before getting into firmware flashing. My LG worked right out of the box, so I haven't worried about it. Tried that first. Will not see UHD discs. Does rip normal bluray of course. That is why I want to either cross flash or downgrade the LG to 1.02 or 1.01. Tried...

Can you describe the procedure you used to crossflash your LG's?jmone wrote:I have 2 x LG WH16NS55. I've crossflashed one to 3.00 and one to 3.02. Both are ripping fine with MakeMKV. I'll do a speed comparison later on which one (if either) is faster.

Re: UHD drives
It is always possible to do a firmware downgrade, so I wouldn't worry about which revision/firmware comes on a new LG drive. My new LG WH16NS40 Service Code NS50 arrived today and it has ver. 1.03. So the question is should I downgrade the firmware to 1.01 or 1.02 or crossflash to the Asus ver. 3.0...

Already did that two months ago. Still think it would be good to have a way to support this ongoing project. Just my 2 cents.Lovely Rita wrote:rivey wrote: Is there a way to donate to MakeMKV team to compensate for all their hard work? If there is not, there should be.
