Re: BD ISO files with Dolby TrueHD

*sigh* Nevermind, it just says TrueHD on the packet, there doesn't seem to be any on the actual disc.

Re: BD ISO files with Dolby TrueHD

Not sure if it's relevant but interestingly enough, my Terminator: SCC s2d1 disc that I had all those problems with had DolbyTrueHD and VC-1, and according to Blu-Ray.com The Matrix has TrueHD and VC-1 as well. Something to ponder.

Re: New User Needs Help

I finally realised what 'Conversion Profiles' were, the MakeMKV GUI just calls them 'Profiles'. The OP wanted an option that would choose which titles to rip, as far as I'm aware conversion profiles are limited to selecting just tracks (which can be done just as well in preferences). By the way, my ...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

I'm reconsidering. I examined the files more closely and have begun ripping each episode individually (start MakeMKV, rip episode, watch it freeze, wait until Windows gives the file a thumbnail then kill MakeMKV and repeat). Anyway, everything is fine until it reaches the pixilation point in the fir...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

Actually, I think something in MakeMKV got stuck somewhere near the beginning, started chewing through CPU power and therefore starved the main process of the resources it needed to process the disc. It makes no sense that it would continuously find errors across the entire length of the disc, espec...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

I just finished ripping the playall, it took awhile, for one the disc errors slowed it down to a crawl, for another, I decided to rip buffy DVDs on the other drive and accidently opened the Blu Ray Drive in the meantime. Anyway, it completed, I ripped a single title, the 'play all' and I now have a ...

A Chapter too far?

This was my first post on the MakeMKV Forum: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5997 Dan corrected MetaX to properly handle chapters without End Times, so on the surface the fix would seem to be superfluous. However, if one person encounters a problem it's likely someone else will...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

VLC is stopping at the same place the blu ray player produced pixilation, but MakeMKV got past that point. I'll try ripping 'Play All' now. (I feel like I'm being a nuisance at the moment, but I recently had a discussion with the developer of MKVToolnix which was mostly him patiently trying to expla...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

I just realised I'd made a mistake. When I'd played it on the Blu ray player it was using 'Play All' whereas what I'm ripping is individual episodes. I may have to start over. I'm thinking there may be something wrong at the end of the episodes as well as what's wrong with the physical disc. I'll tr...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

So I cancelled it and this is how the log ends: 004004:0000 The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00000.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 5402781696, attempting to work around 004008:0010 AV sync issue in stream 1 at 0:33:39.040 with duration of 352ms : audio gap - 11 missing frame(s) 004008:0010 AV syn...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

Yes, I agree the disc is defective. Unfortunately my resources are incredibly limited and I an only work with what I have. In the realm of Blu Ray drives I only have access to the pioneer in my PC and my Sony Blu Ray player. I did lower the retry count to 4 soon after encountering this problem with ...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

MakeMKV is still sitting there doing nothing, but I just realised I have a complete episode on my HDD. It has chapters and I can search through it fine, the only odd thing about it is that it's 44:40 and when I play it in VLC at the end it reaches 44:35, then jumps to 44:40, there's no more video bu...

Re: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals Season 2 Disc 1

*sigh* I played the disc on my Blu Ray player and other than a momentary burst of pixilation in one scene it played fine. I figured since MakeMKV wasn't exiting it was still processing the disc, albeit slowly, so I tried again and left it running overnight. I got up this morning and it was still har...

Re: MKV - add subtitles that are not on DVD / BR?

Yup, my Eureka DVDs came without Subtitles. I downloaded some from Subtitles Seeker, then used Subtitle Edit to convert them from 23.976 FPS to 25 FPS, add 1 second to all the times so they synced with the video and convert them to VOBSUB. Then I just muxed them in with MKVMerge and viola, anyone wo...

Re: Improvements to makemkv

Its not rocket science. That's true, if your source is an SSD and your destination is a server, MakeMKV will read from the SSD until the cache is full and after that it will have to slow down what it's reading from the SSD because the server wouldn't be able to keep up, hence, read/write speed will...
