Re: Converting 7.1 audio to 5.1
Should work with "EAC3TO" by using the "-down6" option. https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Eac3to/How_to_Use Extract the audiostream with mkvextract (part of MKVToolNIX) from the MKV file, convert it with eac3to and use "MKVToolNIX Gui" to add the new track and deselect (or ...

Wrong text, because DVD is still encrypted. My solution was for an decrypted DVD.

If that's not there, I'm not sure if the automatic update would apply to your drive. I can't test that, because I haven't seen any disks with AACSv72 yet. If this section is not listed, the drive is not libredrive compatible. In any case, the update must be self initiated by flashing, this is not d...

Re: Blu-ray movies inferior to Starz Movies
I really think Blu-ray is a format I hate now. ... I remember many DVD movies would come with both a "Widescreen" version that was either 16:9 or 2.4:1, and also come with a 4:3 version. ... Blu-ray NEEDS to do this - the Blu-rays should come with both the 2.4:1 version that is missing fi...

This can also be done with the common Java tool "BD Sup2Sub" and many more things. Under the save option the tools ask for "Save only forced" subtitles.

No, I don't think so. It's for me a decoding problem. Try it with VLC and not with the current program/app.

Re: JRE not working for Red 2 blu-ray
If there is no Java code for the Jave Engine on the disc, Java is not executed. This has nothing to do with Lionsgate Blu-rays, fake playlists can be on any disc. By the way, if you have a standard Java installation, there is no need to specify it in MakeMKV. It finds it over the Win registry, alway...

Re: Corrupted frames at same location
Looks like a codec problem. I think you are using the Windows "Media & TV" App, or? How it looks with VLC?

Is MKB_vxx_xxxxx.tgz file for this title in your "C:/Users/xxxxx/.MakeMKV" folder?
What is the AACS Version? You can see it if the disc is deteced by MakeMKV over the spinning disc icon under "Protection AACS vxx"

Re: General question on how to use MakeMKV..
MakeMKV can rip a specific title (Video and audio(s) and subtitle(s) streams into a single MKV file. If you need the streams extracted for this MKV file, you can use "mkvextract" whch is part of the "MKVToolNIX" package. Thre are also other tools available to extract it.

Re: Problems converting from file structure to mkv
Nice to hear that the problems, except the PCM, are gone.
I do not use an HTPC, but I think something in the HDMI audio config is wrong. Maybe it is configured to always pass PCM and not RAW data.

Re: Six Swedes In Paradise - MakeMKV Fails To Rip
If yu have the VTS VOB files (decryted) you can use "MakeToolNIX GUI" to create an mkv file. Add and append the related VTS VOB file(s) (up to 9 VOB files, each are 1GB) with append (!!!) (add the first file, than click right on the "source file" VOB, and append the other VOB fil...
