Re: What are you streaming to that supports forced subtitles

Handbrake will do pretty much what you are asking for - in fact, some sources get SIGNIFICANTLY smaller when converting from DVD or BD sources, with little change in quality (the amount is adjustable, depending on your preferences. Converting a BD anime series with handbrake, retaining 1080p resolu...

Re: What are you streaming to that supports forced subtitles

Is there any program like handbrake that I can use to convert my existing mkvs and hardcode the subtitles without significantly increasing the size of the file but with no degradation in quality video or audio?

Re: What are you streaming to that supports forced subtitles

Thanks for the replies.

I wonder is it possible if they'll put this feature in MakeMKV at some point?

Re: What are you streaming to that supports forced subtitles

I'm not familiar with handbrake. Can I reconvert an MKV and force the sub? Will handbrake reduce the audio or video quality?

What are you streaming to that supports forced subtitles?

Hello, I love MakeMKV! I have an issue with my current player (Oppo 103). It plays back excellent picture quality and using mezzmo I can now search and play movies easily. There are a number of ways they could improve the Oppo 103 which is top notch as a BD player when it comes to streaming. My bigg...

auto eject?

Hello,

Is there an option to automatically eject the disc tray when the burn is complete?

Mr. Peabody and Sherman

Hello,

I see that some movies such as Mr. Peabody and Mr. Sherman have two title selections for 24.3GB both are 28 chapters - one has many more audio tracks source 00801 or 00802.mpls. Does it matter which you select?

Re: Feature request - changing audio track priority

If you mean manually changing the track order or setting the default flags: view | preferences | general | expert mode Track -> Properties -> Order Weight (lower numbers move a track higher in the output file order, so in your case if you set the AC3 to 80 and the PCM to 90 the AC3 will come before...

Re: Feature request - changing audio track priority

I guess I wasn't clear - I'd like Make MKV to make it easy to change the order of the audio tracks or switch what is the default track when converting.

Feature request - changing audio track priority

Hello, I'm not sure if it is already a feature in the current version but sometimes the default audio is LPCM which my current oppo can't play. I could just record the DD track or I can convert the LPCM to flac but I'd prefer just to make the DD the default track and make the LPCM the second audio t...

Re: Handbrake made mkvs works on the LG BD670, makemkv mkvs

Solution: Use handbreak, it will work, but take longer while it re-encodes your media to MPEG4 Thanks for clearing that up. It is a shame really as I like MakeMKV but without chapters that work with standard players, I guess handbrake is the best choice. Hopefully they'll eventually consider an alt...

Re: Chapters don't work in Green Lantern DVD on Oppo 93

I kept scratching my head for this too. Would be nice to get an update on this. What are you playing back to? I have an Oppo BR player - seen the same thing on the Sony's. Can you tell me what player you can't play back to? Someone posted that the Oppos are a known issue, not sure if they know the ...

Re: Chapters don't work in Armageddon

I can't say there is a fault anywhere. I can say that when the MKVs are created using handbrake, the chapters work when I stream them. I can say that the MKVs of TV shows I download via torrent and stream also have chapters that work when streamed to the Oppo and the Sony. I would like a feature to ...

Re: Chapters don't work in Armageddon

I've got several hundred DVDs and BluRays ripped so far and, with the exception of one, the chapters work on all of them on my media players and in VLC Player on Windows. There is only one DVD that the chapters aren't being written correctly on and that's a known problem with a handful of poorly-au...
