My copy of Jumanji (1995) ripped okay, so I don't think there's a software bug.

Re: Blu ray rip crimes of grindelwald missing language
Same issue here - have you found a solution? I think on the BR there are acually two versions of the movie: Extended and Cinema Version. Extended is only available in English, Cinema should be available also in German. But when i run MakeMKV, i only see the video file of the extended version (141 m...

Re: Blu ray rip crimes of grindelwald missing language
Hello together, I tried to rip the grindelwald blu ray with German and English language. But when I open the disk I just see the English audio. It's the German disk therefore it should be there. Ran into the same problem some times now. On the Language tab in MakeMKV Preferences, do you have a pref...

Re: Star Wars The Force Awakens 4K
Here's the first error I see: Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:TIMEOUT ON LOGICAL UNIT' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00056.m2ts' at offset '29782308864' It looks like every other error in the log is a variation of the same thing; the optical drive hit a spot on the disc it was unable to re...

Re: Samsung tv DTS and Atmos
Ah, then yes, probably. I don't personally have any experience with an Nvidia Shield. Personally, I have an AppleTV 4K plugged into my TV. It will do Dolby Digital Plus up to 7.1 with Dolby Atmos but it won't do Dolby TrueHD with or without Atmos. So, if you're looking to have the lossless TrueHD wi...

https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=129189#p129189 Has MakeMKV produced a firmware dump for your drive? According to the LibreDrive for Pioneer drives thread, your RS8511 platform should be supported. Whatever you do, don't blindly update the firmware on the drive as that could make it ...

Can you copy & paste the log MakeMKV has when you try to rip this disc?

Is the Sonos Arc is connected to the TV via an HDMI cable? Or is it connected via an optical cable? If it is connected via HDMI, is it plugged into a port that supports ARC (audio return channel) or even better, the newer eARC? According to the Sonos Arc FAQ, the best way to get Dolby Atmos or Dolby...

tbh I don't know how to change geoblocking. I was able to change DNS but that didn't help. Geoblocking is usually a thing in one's router. Folks who have it generally know that they do. If you don't really know what that is, then you probably don't have it. Hopefully you've read about hashed keys ....

Re: Settings for MakeMKV and VLC to avoid Pixelization
I think your settings for MakeMKV are fine. Personally, I leave preferred language set to None just so things are easier when I rip a foreign language film, but either setting works.
As Billycar11 said, I think the issues with VLC are a problem of how VLC interacts with your GPU.

Re: LG-BH16NS55 flashed to LG-WH16NS60 (f/w 1-00DE) not reading discs
CDs and DVDs use a different laser than blu-rays and UHDs. If the drive won't read either kind of disc, that seems like a bad sign. Pioneer drives are held in high regard these days, but unfortunately to get one that is LibreDrive compatible, you need to get one from a seller in your region that can...

Posting on the forum is probably the best way to request the feature be added. If Mike has explained himself on this topic, I'm not aware of it (but there are a lot of posts on this forum that I've never read).

Re: 2 Rips From 2 Different Drives of Same Disc - One works and One Doesn't?
It is possible some bits got flipped in the .mkv from the LG after the .mkv file was created.
Is the corruption still there if you recreate the .mkv files from the optical disc using the LG drive?
