Re: Attemping to flash LG BP55EB40 on macOS
As told, instead of "-f sdf_0000006d.bin" you must use the correct "HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP55EB40-NB50-1.01-NM00200-211711231626.bin" file (the exact name or version can now be different, I have only a older firmware package) for your drive from the Firmware package (downloaded by you ...

Re: Attemping to flash LG BP55EB40 on macOS
The "sdf_0000006d.bin" is not the firmware for flashing. This is only the interface for MakeMKV to the flashed drive, to establsih the libredrive functionality after Libredrive is enabled. You must use the file from the Firmware package to enable Libredrive that MakMKV can later load the L...

Maybe a Libredrive problem with some controllers and/or devices which results in this type of problem.

Re: Libredrive version v6
I only could achieve a max speed of around 30.0 M/s [7.0x] at the biggest m2ts file with 30 GB The max speed has nothing to do with the size of a file. The place of the file on disc is important, on the inner place (near the hub) the max speed is approx 2x, on the outer place the max can be approx....

Re: Problem opening and decrypting
Do you have also the problem if using an older version https://makemkv.com/download/old/ Did the disc "Backup" work "File->Backup"? and if the "Backup" works and you use the backup data with "File->Open Files" by opening the "index.bdmv" function?

Re: Hoping to simplify manual DVD file option
I don't think that this is working with MakeMKV. The tool is designed to work with DVD discs and all data on it. But have only some parts of the DVD on the harddisc. But "MKVToolNIX GUI" can do this. Open the first 1GB file from the VTS, all other 1GB files are automaticaly appended. Now y...

Re: Opening index.bdmv does nothing
Just to be sure, after you open the index.bdmv file you do press the animated disc button in the lower left? No decoding/analyzing starts until that large button is pressed. That's wrong. If the "index.bdmv" is opened over MakeMKV -> "File->Open Files" a Explorer Window opens, n...

Re: Opening index.bdmv does nothing
As told, never had any problems with this. This works also for me if I select the "index.bdmv" direct from the disc. The selection should be something like the below screenshot. Operating System, which version? In case of Windows try it with MakeMKV as running as Administror (locate the ma...

Re: Does same segment map mean same movie?
If the segment maps are identical, the rip results in the same video stream. The difference in the two playlists can be the included audio and/or subtitle streams.

Re: Correctly recode PAL 25fps dvds to standard 23.976 fps
You can simply change the audio delay up or down with "MKVToolNIX Gui" by selecting the audio track and specify the value in the "Delay (in ms)" field and remux the file. If you are unsure what is the correct value, view the movie in VLC and use the "Tools -> Track Sync"...

Re: Don't want to give up on makemkv, but...
I did just verify the link in my first post to download the blu-ray keys and it does work. Make sure a recent dsall.svq is in your MakeMKV data directory. Yes, you can still download it, put it anywhere in a data directory, but this as zero effect. The process has been changed, trust me :) The &quo...

Re: Opening index.bdmv does nothing
You are opening the index.bdmv file with the MakeMKV option "File->Open files" by navigating to the index.bdmv file? Never had any problems with this.
