Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Success! Using the above tsmuxer both Spider-Man Homecoming and Far From Home (the one that failed before) worked perfectly! Both DV and Atmos working! The info in Plex just says HDR10 for some reason, but playback activates DV. Now to just get MKV playback and Kodi working, and everything will be p...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Well I finally got my new Shield, but first test didn't work. Got a black screen for video, and although Plex reported its True HD Atmos, my receiver is only getting DD+. Guess I need to try different versions of tsmuxer. No idea which one I used at this point! On a different note, with this discus...

Re: WANTED: Results of UHD Rips with Dolby Vision

All of this has changed quite a bit now. For the mp4 route, theres a tool from yusecope in that thread that automates all of this. There's also now limited DV support in makemkv, but you can't play them directly yet. You have to convert to a ts first. There's two different threads on all of it.

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Well exoplayer by itself doesn't exactly get us anywhere so someone needs to use it. And I would VERY MUCH prefer that to be Plex. It's not like we're asking them to write the code from scratch so maybe they'll consider it. I don't know too much about the ins and outs of Exoplayer... But if its bee...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

So are you saying that if we play back one of the profile 4 videos on a non-DV device we won't even get HDR10?

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

I always assumed the MKV might change given that there is currently no player support, so, for me I used the MKV rip as an intermediary to the TS files. I'm prepared to rerip again. Just to share: INFUSE 6 DOES play MKV. https://firecore.com/infuse Scroll to the bottom for file support: 3GP, AVI, A...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

They agreed on a solution on how to add dv (and other) data to the mkv standard! Mike confirmed he would follow those :D Now we just need to get exoplayer to implement it as mentioned in the mkv standard! One step closer to dv in mkv! Any idea if we're going to have to re-rip again? I spent the day...

Re: Zombieland 4K UHD AACS 2.1

Am I right to say that this issue is limited to the International UHD and not the one released in the Americas? I ripped Zombieland Double Tap yesterday and was thinking of ripping the first part today. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk No you are not right in saying it. I bought at Amaz...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Don't take this the wrong way, but why, when he basically asked for the easiest possible method, did you post the convoluted method using yusecope's tool, when there is now a much easier method just using makemkv and tsmuxer (and eac3to if you want TrueHD)? Is there something I'm missing that makes...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

TL;DR...I've summarized the next step in my quest for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos as in the following: FFmpeg or MakeMKV---->yusesope's tool---->tsMuxeR (nightly) Question #1- Clear steps that anyone can follow? I found this post but I'm sure the steps changed since then? by daddy Tue Aug 06, 2019...
