Re: Batman Beyond - The Complete Series

Can you point in the direction of allowing internet updates like I said I am pretty inexperienced with all this. My understanding is, as long as you use only Blu-rays, you don't need Libredrive support (a other dynamic Firmware for the Optical drive) and you can ignore the SDF error. If Libredrive ...

Re: Batman Beyond - The Complete Series

Sure that this is a Blu-ray and not a UHD? Do you have a debug log? This can be activated in the MakeMKV settings.

From the image we can see that the "SDF downloading is disabled or failed". There is a other very long thread in this forum about "SDF downloading".

Re: Undetermined Audio Language

For me it works with "nolang" as described in the documentation.

What should "single" select? Don't think that this stands for "undefined language". Sure that this is a valid parameter?

Re: Prison Break

Jesus, so many screen shots .... Different paylists can point to the same stream element(s). Each playlist can list different audio and/or subtitle tracks. MakeMKV does not "merge" different paylists into one MakeMKV title view, it uses always a single paylist = single title view. Okay, th...

Re: Avengers Endgame

Is the disc also ejected if MakeMKV is not running?

Never seen that MakeMKV ejects a disc. I think the disc could not be identified by the OS and MakeMKV never accesses the disc.

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean 1 The Curse of the Black Pearl - Which of the two versions is correct?

What's about backup the disc an view/check the stream element 00002.m2ts to figure it out ???? Sorry, I wrote this solution many times, also in the your last MIB thread. It's very easy to find the correct playlist. Easy task! A MPLS file is a playlist and not an M2TS video stream file, it describes ...

Re: Backup Copy of Movie Contains Unwanted Naration

Most of the TVs cannot play DTS in general and/or the higher resolution HD formats from DTS and Dolby Digital (formaly known as AC3). If the TV sould play it (direct or indirect via HDMI) this gives no sound. You need an external Media Client player which converts the DTS and/or HD formats to an com...

Re: Men In Black International - 2 Main Features

The solution to find it out is in the thread. Make a backup and view the two different stream segments to determine which mpls should be the right. Easy to solve :D

Re: Feature Request: Do what you do without Java

Java works only for some Blu-ray's which have the "Java Logic" implemented. On most disc, Java is not used. If MakeMKV uses Java, you see a message in the processing window with the used path. Anyway, there is no need to specify the Java path in the preferences. MakeMKV can detect it (at l...

Re: Full Screen vs Wide Screen Title Selection

I need simpler step-by-step instructions like: go into handbrake and change the dimension width to 1920 x 1080, etc. I think the real issue is that I am not tech-savvy so a lot of the recommendations that you are telling me I do not know how to make the conversion This is not a "conversion&quo...

Re: Full Screen vs Wide Screen Title Selection

all movies are pretty much in the in widescreen format with the horizontal black bars. When I try to adjust my tv aspect, the only one that covers the full screen is Zoom which of course cut off part of the movie Please remember, 16:9 TV have a aspect ratio of 1,78:1 (16 divided by 9). Most cinema ...

Re: subtitle track numbers

Unfortunately MakeMKV does not extract "Forced flagged" subtitles from the subtitle stream into an extra stream for DVDs. This was requested many times but never implemented. The solution is to use the java tool "BD sup2sub" which can extract the forced flagged subtitle entries. ...

Re: Wrong aspect ratios

Load the created file in "MKVToolNix GUI" in the multiplexer option window. Select the video track and go to the lower right corner to the "Video properties" and set the aspect ratio to 4:3 and muxx the mkv file again. Check the new generated file if this fix works.

Re: Blocking/Pixelation encoding issue from Handbrake from MakeMKV DVD source

Activate in Handbrake and specialy in VLC (or any other playing software) always the "Deinterlace" function. It does not change anything if progressive content is used, but nearly all DVDs have interlaced content (two half pictures are constructed to one progressive full picture). Otherwise...

Re: Men In Black International - 2 Main Features

My disc does not seem to have files labeled as "00383.m2ts" or "00386.m2ts". Take a look into the shown MPLS segment maps and find the difference. Feature 1: Segment map: 1,382, 383 ,384,385 Feature 2: Segment map: 1,382, 386 ,384,385 Maybe your disc has different stream segment...
