Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023

Just bought an external BD drive before reading this and I was wondering if there was a place I can send my firmware dump for checking? I wanted to ask before just throwing attachments to the forum on my first post. Drive shows as: HL-DT-ST_BD-RE__WH16NS58 and I There is a MK version for NS58 in th...

Re: Pioneer firmware update February 2023

Post your Makemkv info. Look at this thread i opened 1 year ago! My unit is directly from Japan (Amazon Japan) https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=30798 It s a drive launched after the timeline of the Pioneer encrypted firmwares so for now it's not libredrive open! It's a great...

He would have to let Mike access his drive if it is pre Dec. 2022. Right now I don't think he supports XS08. We need the Makemkv info posted.

Post your Makemkv info. Your old post shows a firmware before December 2022 - which is not scrambled.

Re: Slim internal UHD drive

I am looking what uhd internal slim drives are available and the only one I can see is: HLDS BU40N (Still seems to be available in amazon) Did find the Verbatim 43888, which is external but is it possible to remove the internal odd from it? Possible without destroying the enclosure? As I already ha...

Re: Which drive?

Surely the Pioneers last much longer than the LGs and they are the better readers and burners. Concerning your question. Run this for your drive. This is a Windows example for the drive letter E: C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV>makemkvcon f -d E: --info SDF.bin version: 0x0088 Drive Tool SDF present ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023

Most likely the chipset of that enclosure doesn't support flashing. You will need to attach it to SATA or buy this USB-> SATA adapter. https://www.amazon.com/BENFEI-Drive-Adapter-Cable-Compatible/dp/B07JGT17B8/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1PHVZ2M1LA4BX&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.0vW-5Udb8cYg3nfTLjI4bkxYbMTxbE41arqEauj...

Re: How to restore Asus 16D1HT to 3.11 factory firmware

It defaults to Windows 11 and only shows the egreen utility. You have to switch to Windows 10. Then the flasher appears for download. It's what I already wrote above.

I am also conscious of this issue, which also concerns a Verbatim 43888 on Linux I can confirm that it is probably a Linux problem. I just tried it on my Mac with MakeMKV 1.17.6 and it works flawlessly. sounds like the drive is rebooting give it more power Also I think the power is not a problem I ...

Re: Pioneer firmware update February 2023

Is there a hope for Pioneer BDR-XS08MB-S for Blu Ray 4k ripping? No matter 1.00 or 1.01 firmware......this unit is born already locked for libedrive but MakeMKV still tells Libredrive is not yet enabled! I hope that future versions of MakeMKV that should implement Libredrive V2 will unlock BDR-XS08...

Yes, these 43888 drives ARE power hungry. Some ports might not provide enough power. If they do - consider yourself lucky.
