Post your Makemkv info. Your old post shows a firmware before December 2022 - which is not scrambled.

Surely the Pioneers last much longer than the LGs and they are the better readers and burners. Concerning your question. Run this for your drive. It defaults to Windows 11 and only shows the egreen utility. You have to switch to Windows 10. Then the flasher appears for download. It's what I already wrote above.

I am also conscious of this issue, which also concerns a Verbatim 43888 on Linux I can confirm that it is probably a Linux problem.
