Re: UHD drives
What type of drive are you using. Do you have the proper firmware and did to have to reflash your drive to obtain the correct firmware? Sounds to me either wrong firmware, drive and or defective drive. Im sure you have made sure it's not the disc itself. My drive is a LG BE16NU50 and it came with 1...

Re: UHD drives
I ordered the LG WH16NS40 a few weeks ago and as my luck would have it arrived with with 1.03 firmware :( :( . After reading on several ways to downgrade to 1.02 I choose DOSflasher method and it worked great. Now the question is I'm ordering the same drive again for the future so can I use the sam...

Re: UHD drives
Please help me! I purchased the LG BE16NU50 (the external one) which is in the "UHD friendly" list, but everytime I insert a UHD disc it just ejects the disc after a while (on macOS 10.13) or MakeMKV shows "No disc inserted" (on Windows 10). On the back of the drive it says &quo...

Re: UHD drives
I have a LG BE16NU50 drive that I'm trying out with a UHD disc for the first time. It has previously worked fine for HD blu ray discs. I put a UHD copy of It in the drive to try it out with MakeMKV, but the drive just spins for a few seconds and then ejects the disc. The disc works fine in my Oppo p...

Re: Feature Request - Option to Select HD Audio by Default
Preferences | Advanced | Default Selection Rule http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4386 I checked out this topic and must confess to being lost trying to implement default selection of lossless HD audio. How do I modify the default selection rule to make it automatically select ...

Re: MakeMKV slows down during ripping till it "dies" ?
Well, I feel kind of stupid. I discovered my problem was that I recently added a new external HD to my network and these were the first two movies I tried to rip to it. I finally saw a message saying something along the lines that the BD drive was writing information too fast for the HD. I tried rip...

Re: MakeMKV slows down during ripping till it "dies" ?
I'm ripping a BD I've successfully ripped in the past right now - Superman Vs the Elite. Where Hugo and Godfather started out at a 2x read rate and slowly got slower and slower until it was 0.1x and then quit, this disc started at 2x and slowly sped up throughout the rip, topping out at 3.9x and fin...

Re: 1.7.7 and 1.7.8 problems
I forgot about this for a while, but figured I would give 1.7.10 a try, but I got the same result. This time with a brand new BD copy of The Godfather. I'm attaching the de-bug log, but for some reason the log indicates version 1.7.6, thought I know I used 1.7.10. Regardless, I will try it again in ...

Re: MakeMKV slows down during ripping till it "dies" ?
Hi there, since I got my external LG Bluray burner about 1 1/2 week ago, I am currently evaluating all those ripping solutions available including MakeMKV which is essential the tool I want to have because of Linux support  Most of the BDs I have been playing around were ripped perfectly w...

1.7.7 and 1.7.8 problems
I've been using MakeMKV on my Mac for a couple years now for DVDs and BDs with few, if any, problems. However, when I updated to 1.7.7, my BD rips no longer completed and frequently my DVD rips would only successfully complete around half of the selected files, causing me to run the program multiple...
