As I understand it, Dolby TrueHD doesn't have an accessible core the way DTS-HD MA does.
I know if I only rip the lossless track, on playback with Emby my LG TV has to re-encode the audio for TrueHD but can direct play the DTS core.

Re: How to rip chronological version of "Memento"
What do you see in MakeMKV?
The chronological version is SD as far as i know, so it could be significantly smaller and you're not realising it isn't one of the shorter bonus features.

Re: Use MakeMKV new integration with VLC to get correct playlist/segment list
Yeah, VLC just says it can't be opened.
I have no idea what type of VLC I have, and what's this about Java?

Aborting Operation Crashes Program
Since the 15.1 update, aborting a rip in progress causes the entire program to become non-responsive and crash.

Re: Use MakeMKV new integration with VLC to get correct playlist/segment list
I wasn't aware of this previously. I enabled it in the settings page, but when I open VLC and tell it to play the disc in the drive, it fails. Am I supposed to be doing something else?

Re: Forced Subtitles
It just detects all subtitle tracks. That doesn't mean it can detect whether these are forced or not. If that's true, why does it show up as "English (forced)" in MakeMKV and not just as an additional English track? MakeMKV always shows subtitles like this: Subtitles - PGS English Subtitl...

Re: Forced Subtitles
As I read it, the flaged-as-forced subtitles are getting copied to their own track. However, that track is not being flagged in the MKV track as "forced". And, because it isn't the FIRST subtitle track, the player isn't using it by default. It shouldn't be using any subtitle track by defa...

Re: Forced Subtitles
Because the only two tracks it finds are normal and forced, which means that one of the two tracks in the output must be the detected-as-forced track.

Re: Forced Subtitles
Except that in this case MakeMKV does detect them as forced. There are only two tracks. The normal track and the forced track. The output has two tracks. Neither is set as forced.

Re: Forced Subtitles
But I do understand the issue.
The forced subtitle track, on this disc, contains the forced subtitles. It is not empty. Every single explanation provided in this thread has been "but that track is empty, the forced subs are on a different track". But they aren't.

Re: Forced Subtitles
Did the subtitle selection look like this picture? http://spamtrapaddress.com/images/ChangeDiskName.png The forced only selection in this case is manufactured by MakeMKV from any flagged-as-forced subtitles in the parent . Almost always that track will be empty, and deleted. But in this case it isn...
