You can also use mkvmerge to split produced MKV file. This feature is a bit tricky from UI prespective. Feature request noted, but I would not count on it to be implemented soon. While not with either of my DVDs of Kill Bill (just re-ripped them to make sure). I do have this issue with all of my Blurays of Pirates of the caribbean. In the end I just used used tsMuxeR to rip those to M2TS files. as MakeMKV would just lock up on those (and only those so far) blurays. Side note...
