Is MakeMKV a real freeware?

Post by dannylin3000 »

Just getting confused.

In the about dialog, it shows the license type is: freeware but right below the license type, it also indicates there's an expiration date.
If it's freeware, it never expire...

Well thats not completely right, the DVD "ripping" portion is so-post to stay free(ware).

See Mike admins post : http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic ... free#p3047
See Home page : http://www.makemkv.com/ (exact line reads : "Functionality to open DVD discs is free and will always stay free.")

I think it will be too expensive for most of users. 25 USD is more fair price.

@galaktiker

As I mentioned i an earlier post:
Although it's apparent that you are well-intentioned, you are ignoring the wishes of "mike-admin", who has made it clear (in a post to a thread here at his forum) that this forum is only for conversation regarding program development and not about pricing or marketing.
