Popcorn A200 and MKV: Part II

However, using MakeMKV only my std definition DVDs have excellent functionality, eg. chapters, subtitles, etc. BD .MKVs will routinely freeze when skipping chapters (audio continues, but video freezes at start of chapter); similarly, MKV PGS subs can be problematic ...they don't appear as Hi-def images as when rendering .TS PGS subs.

Are these issues still to be worked out with Popcorn and the mkv container format? Anyone ?

I believe I've definitely found the solution to my particular problem thanks to the discussion re: the LG hardware players and video codecs. Repeated testing has led me to the following conclusion. Any BD using the VC-1 codec produces navigation problems with the Popcorn, i.e. as stated above, the unit will freeze on the video when navigating chapters, etc.
HOWEVER, if the video codec was .H264 >> NO PROBLEM at all, does NOT matter the size of the file, bitstream rate, etc....perfect. Therefore, I now pre-test with BDInfo..if the codec is .H264 I use the excellent MakeMKV. If VC-1, on to TSMuxer.
