Hello,
I realize it isn't yet working for 4K discs. I'm curious if the developer is working on making it work for 4K discs.
Thanks.
Any chance makemkv will eventually work on 4K dics?

A chance? I'd guess likely. When and how? God knows...hopefully sometime this decade.
I can't even begin to imagine how complex this task is, from decryption to file creation, then keeping up with protection schemes. It almost seems like someone's full-time job just to keep up with new copy protection for new BD releases, and BD copy protection was cracked very early into BD's introduction.
My opinion only; if and when the day comes that MakeMKV can work on UHD discs, the permanent free beta goes away. A short trial period and then purchase or don't use. DVD and BD could be grandfathered (ie, free use) but UHD would require a new license. I'd definitely buy again to continue to support the future of this project. Again, my 2 cents.
