When a move has forced subtitles how does everyone find the correct track? Some times there are 5-10 English subtitles how do you know which one is the correct version to use?

Rip all of them, play the result with VLC and check each track in turn.

I have not seen or heard of a more reliable way to do it. Even the same movie series (Star Wars) can have several different track layouts for subtitles.

Once you know the track(s) you want, you can use other tools (handbrake, mkvmerge) to create a copy of the movie with JUST the tracks you want, in the proper order, without having to re-rip the movie.

Also to note that subtitles generally take up very little space (unless they are picture subtitles, in which case they might take up a bit more). Unlike audio tracks that definitely start to add up with the space they take up over time (especially described audio which I don't need), I don't mind just ripping all English subtitles and not even bothering to clean up the file afterward, flipping through them on playback if I need them.
