Audio slightly scratchy

I love makemkv, but I am running into a little problem. My movies look fantastic and sounds great except I have noticed with some voice and deep parts that the audio is slightly scratchy. It is not so bad that I can't wAtch it , it is most often barely noticeable. I don't get this scratchiness when playing other things through my media center pc/receiver. Anyone else notice this or have any other recommendations? I'm not positive that it is a makemkv specific thing... I think ive noticed it with some old dvdfab rips as well.
