I had an old copy of Arcsoft TotalMedia, installed it, registered and copied the dtsdecoderdll.dll (1.1.0.9) to the program files folder, set the path in the options and no audio at all in .mkv from blu-ray rip.

Thanks for any ideas

This version I use dtsdecode.DLL

Shows you how to get lpcm 7.1 from mkv files to enjoy dtshd or truehd.

I tried with the version you linked to: ( dtsdecoderdll.dll 1.1.0.1) and no go. no audio at all in MKV file. Blu-ray rip is fine.

strange, MakeMKV is supposed to have an open source DTS-HD decoder?

confused.

The open-source DTS decoder does not have all possible modes, as I understand it. Which is why there is still the option to use the closed-source one, if you can find it.

It's probably the same one used by handbrake, and they say it can't do 7.1.

I was able to get DTS-HD by selecting the exact track. may have just been my error. all is well.
