I had an old copy of Arcsoft TotalMedia, installed it, registered and copied the dtsdecoderdll.dll ( to the program files folder, set the path in the options and no audio at all in .mkv from blu-ray rip.

Thanks for any ideas

This version I use dtsdecode.DLL

Shows you how to get lpcm 7.1 from mkv files to enjoy dtshd or truehd.

I tried with the version you linked to: ( dtsdecoderdll.dll and no go. no audio at all in MKV file. Blu-ray rip is fine.

strange, MakeMKV is supposed to have an open source DTS-HD decoder?

The open-source DTS decoder does not have all possible modes, as I understand it. Which is why there is still the option to use the closed-source one, if you can find it.

It's probably the same one used by handbrake, and they say it can't do 7.1.

I was able to get DTS-HD by selecting the exact track. may have just been my error. all is well.
