Merge 3D Discs

Post by Christian_925965 »

Hey, I just bought Titanic 3D a few Days ago,
and it really sucks when you have to swap the Discs in your PS3 because of the Reading time etc.

Now I think about buying the Hobbit in 3D but there is also the 2Disc issue.

Is there a way to Merge both 3D Video Files to one and mount it in a virtual Drive, so that I can watch the movie
without swaping the Discs?

If yes, which Tools do I need and what do I have to do?,
I really don't need all the Menu Stuff, only the Movie File with Subtitles and German/English voice.

you can do it with MKVmerge.
create with MakeMkv for each disk a separate MKV-file where all tracks are the same and in the same order;
add the first mkv to MKVmerge and than use the "append" button to add the second one. Create a new combined mkv ("start muxing");

you will see a 1-2 seconds black gap when the mkv is played over the borderline, but otherwise it works nicely...
