I didn't realize it may had todo with an issue with ffmpeg itself, anyways, I have been using a newer ffmpeg version

The first is the one you linked to, the second is the one I've been using.

C:\Users\Andreas\Downloads>ffmpeg -v
ffmpeg version 5.0.1-full_build-www.gyan.dev Copyright (c) 2000-2022 the FFmpeg developers
built with gcc 11.2.0 (Rev7, Built by MSYS2 project)

C:\Users\Andreas\Downloads>D:\Video\tools\ffmpeg-5.1\ffmpeg.exe -v
ffmpeg version 5.1-essentials_build-www.gyan.dev Copyright (c) 2000-2022 the FFmpeg developers
built with gcc 12.1.0 (Rev2, Built by MSYS2 project)

and i had to add this option to get the 5.1 output instead of 5.0.

Ill try with 5.0.1 and see what happens. If there was an issue fixed, maybe they broke it again with a more recent change.

Hi @RESET_9999! Was taken After Earth 2013 BCORE movie with Color range: Full and after changing to Limited using ffmpeg has no effect, screenshots are created with Color range: Full (dark), when playing the movie is also dark. Is there any way to fix it?

really excited about this tool,
registered to get some help.

i got an error on the:

4) MODE.P= DoVi Profile 7 Input (MKV/BDMV) -
-2) MODE.2= MKV/TS/M2TS/MP4 Profile 7 rip to Profile 8

Rewriting file with interleaved EL NALUs..
error: a value is required for '--input <input>' but none was supplied

TSMUXER still opened and a HEVC p8 file was created.

the created file is 6GB smaller than the original with the exact same tracks.

Strangely for this movie, the color must be kept to full range... BCORE WEB-DLs are very strangely made.

The new hevc is ok and can be muxed.
The error at the end is the script trying to read an RPU that is not present. It's my fault and I'll fix it in the next version but right now you can ignore it or put the script folder on a non-windows drive.
The file is 6gb smaller which is normal because this workflow converts dual layer FEL to single layer profile 8. FEL alone can be 15gb+.

No sorry this won't happen, I have no desire in making the script works on OS that I'll never use.

Hi Reset_9999

I wanted to thank you for your great work and expertise.

and I wanted to ask if you could PM me. To see your video how to convert SDR to HDR.

My workflow is very long and cumbersome. and I think you have a better way. So I thought I'd just ask.

(3-1)

@RESET_9999

When using the updated script (3-1), do I need to generate a shot list file before running the script? At the moment if I just press enter, when prompted for the shot list, the script crashes after L5 input.

if you dont provide a shot list file, yes the scene cuts detection takes forever.
You can use scene cuts from resolve and do the DV in CM_analyze.

CM_analyze took just over 15 hours. Perhaps it's just my setup?
