Last Saturday i downloaded the new Version 1.12.0
Started ripping a UHD, at about 95% read errors...
Stopped operation, removed Disc, inserted it again, AND GAME OVER!!
NO UHD or Bluray could be read, drive says: No Disc
Music CDs still working.
OK, the Drive is an LG BH16NS55, still with warranty.
Today i got a new one, still Firmware 1.02
Tried ripping 3 UHDs, Again only Errors.
But thank god the drive still works.
AnyDVD was able to rip all of them.
Then uninstalled 1.12, installed 1.10 and everything is FINE.
Any idea how this could be??? Running on Win7.

But i thought 1.02 Firmware is OK.
But i got still errors, V1.10 also stops reading... I didnt see this at my first Post. Programm crashed and responds on nothing.

If you send me valid dump (from both devices) I can see what's going wrong.

Hm, i had to return the damaged drive to get the new one.
I will try to make a dump, with your downgrade usb dos method, right?
Does it help with only 1 dump?

You can use the devilclaw's flasher (under windows command prompt) to dumping faster (if it works).

OK, started devilsclaw, my drive id is 2
typed : flasher -d [2] -l firmware.bin 00000000 00200000

then :

cmd_drive: Openig Drive: [2]


And command prompt is flasshing, nothing happens, do i have to wait???

Now i tried Dos Mode, drive is connected to sata2, prg says no atapi device. SATA Mode is set to IDE...

OK, i contacted LG, trying to get another new one....

What I also tried: Make an unprotected ISO with AnyDVD, opened in Makemkv, try to make a mkv, got errors. Opened the ISO with Alcohol, try to make an mkv, worked fine...
Is this also strange??

"got errors" isn't enough to help you.

The problem is likely with your disc, your drive, or other applications interfering while MakeMKV is running.

MakeMKV produces a debug log every session. I forget if you have to enable it in preferences since I'm not at my computer. Posting the debug log when you run into problems will help us see what's happening. Also, mention which UHD you're trying.

But a wonder happened.. Now i really made my first mkv with makemkv. Deadpool

Now i am trying again one which didnt work today: Life of Pi
Others didnt work today: Mummy3 and Terminator 2

All UHDs. But they worked fine last week, before i downloaded 1.12 and crashed my drive

Also the today not working with LG and makemkv are working with LG and AnyDVD.
And also they work with my sparedrive Asus and makemkv.

And i also didnt change and prgs at my pc.

If the problem is with the Discs, they wont work with ANYDVD, and if the problem is with the Drive it wont work with AnyDVD also. Am I right ???

I completely dont know how this could be...
Now I have to wait 50mis to see if LifeofPi is working or not, like today...

Oh, and the errors were something like Wrong Offset, or m2ts file is damaged, i cant remeber everything...

Life of Pi, which didnt work this afternoon, has been ripped to mkv, WOOW...
With one message : The data from disc is read faster than it could be written to the Drive.
Its written in german, hoping i translated it good
Its an USB3 Harddrive, did 25 UHDs the last days, never read that...
WHATdoes this mean???

EDIT : After crashing I tried again, same disc, works fine...

This is totally crazy

In this case, the console output is telling you what is wrong - the m2ts file for the title you are trying to rip is corrupt - it's a bad disc.

If you don't already, I recommend buying from Amazon and ripping as soon as you get the disc. That way if there's a problem, you can easily return the disc within the return period for an exchange.
