Terminator 2 Judgment Day

Post by scabbard »

I know this disc is in "the list." Just purchased it. It will not decrypt (get the error volume key unknown for this disc). Just to be sure, I re-tried some other discs (2001 e.g., Thor Ragnarok e.g.) just to be sure they worked; they did. Even went so far as to do the old keys_hashed.cfg workaround. No dice. Using v1.14.2. Is it possible a newly mastered version of this disc has appeared in new production runs which is using different keys?

Studios can release as many AACS keys for their content/discs/movie releases as they please. Nothing is limiting them from doing this (aside from costs, but it’s not like they are going broke). That is why you can clearly see multiple keys in the hash key file for example, but that does not mean all keys around the world have been captured for any one single release.

And no, there is no new remaster of this movie yet.
