3.10-MK is quite a bit faster so stick with it. I suggest only going back to 3.02 if you come across a UHD that just won't rip on 3.10-MK.

I'm having difficulties with the flasher on my External LG BP50NB40 NB50 1.01 on a Win10 Pro system.
The flasher shows error #5 when I try to use the DE_LG_BP50NB40-NB50_1.01_MK_HBD.bin file. What am I doing wrong here?

From my OP:
"Firmware BP60NB10_1.00_MK_HBD will allow you to flash your BP50NB40 to BP60NB10. Firmware BP50NB40-NB50_1.01_MK_HBD will allow you to go back to BP50NB40_1.01_MK if you ever require it."
You are trying to flash the wrong firmware. You should be trying to flash BP60NB10_1.00_MK_HBD.
If you are not successful, try flashing plain old BP50NB40_NB50_1.01-MK first, then flash the HBD firmware.
Cheers

I bought a WH16NS40-NS50 drive, and comes with firmware 1.04.
I'm trying to flash firmware 1.02 on it, but I'm getting "Updating Failure #4", when I try to do it with the modified ASUS flasher.
I also tried 1.03, but I got the same message.
That link brings me to a generic news and announcements page. I'm currently receiving a Failure #4 while using the Modified Asus Flasher on my ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.10 down to 3.02.
Any advice?

Also I have an older unit with same model, but with SVC Code NS40 and revision 1. It was manufactured in June 2015. Can anyone tell me if the unit itself is capable of UHD as it appears to not recognize UHD discs at all. It just seeks endlessly.

Flash 1.04-MK first. You cannot go straight from 1.04 to 1.02.Cyberpower678 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 12:54 amI get update error number 4 when trying to flash my WH16NS40 with SVC NS50 from 1.0.4 to 1.0.2. Please advise.

Here’s a question: I’ve got DVD Fab complaining about a flashed ASUS saying it needs to have its firmware downgraded. I originally flashed it to 3.10 MK which I assume I
is the problem. So what would be a good firmware version to use to avoid upsetting DVD Fab?
Thank you.

According to their website, it appears it needs 3.01...
Try 3.02. I had someone ask me this same question earlier this morning!!

1.04-MK doesn't actually seem to exist. Am I overlooking something here?MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 3:02 amFlash 1.04-MK first. Okay. I managed to roll it back by flashing a different drive FW on there and then flashing the actual model number to 1.02. It's reading UHD discs now. Quick question got a FW that you recommend in terms of speed and reliability for this model? This FW seems, slow.Cyberpower678 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 3:30 am1.04-MK doesn't actually seem to exist.
