I have an LG WH14NS0 that came with ver 1.05. Is there a way to restore a drive if I dumped the ROM before flashing?
Not using that dump as it only contains the important bits such as cal data.

You didn't say what model it is. Is it a WH14NS40 or WH14NS60? Anyway, if you need to return it, you can restore the drive by flashing a lower version such as 1.02-MK, 1.03-MK or 1.04-MK, depending on which is available for your drive model in the MK firmware pack then using the original LG flasher pertaining to your drive model from here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=24443
Cheers :D

Ah my mistake, it's a WH14NS40. And yes I need to return it. I'll take a look at the link you posted. Thank you!

Ok, so in the "old" folder of the MK firmware pack there should be a WH14NS40 1.03-MK (HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH14NS40-NS50-1.03-NM00600-211711211658) and a WH14NS40 1.04-MK (HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH14NS40-NS50-1.04-NM01201-211901041351). You should flash the drive to either one of those, then use the original LG WH14NS40 1.05 flasher from the link I provided to restore the drive to the original WH14NS40 1.05 firmware, ready for return.
Cheers :D

Ensure MakeMKV is installed in the default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV).
Make sure there is no disc in the drive and the tray is closed.

If you are using a 4K monitor, sometimes the app may appear small. You can fix this by changing the DPI settings (see first post)
Cheers :D

Hello, is my drive able to get flashed for 4K rips?

----

Drive Information
OS device name: G:
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BP55EB40
Revision: 1.03
Serial number: SIK01N5VB0200
Firmware date: 2121-07-08 16:06
Bus encryption flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 81

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959

-----

If so, which firmware should I flash it with? From what I gather so far I might have to flash several firmwares one after the other. Thank you for any advice.

Your advice worked like a charm! But now I have a new issue. ERROR: Command produced error code 0x82052603
What drive are you trying to flash and to what firmware?

No, doesn't work that way. Your 1.05 is encrypted so you should flash WH16NS60 1.02-MK first, then you can flash to another firmware if you wish, although, WH16NS60 1.02-MK is recommended.
Cheers :D

I've been trying to go through all the forums and trying to find someone else who's gone through this with the same drive, but can't seem to figure out any consistent experience that helps me figure out how to (or if I even can) flash my drive. The drive info is:

Drive Information
OS device name: E:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE WH16NS40
Revision: 1.04
Firmware date: 2119-01-04 13:48
Bus encryption flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 75

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959

No disc inserted

When I select it in the tool, the encryption shows as the red X. Changing it to a green check and selecting the DE_LG_WH16NS60_1.02_MK firmware from the All You Need pack lets it proceed, and after progressing through the flash and saying it has completed successfully, there appears to be no change to my drive.

From what I've seen, it seems that I may need to flash it to another 1.04 version that isn't encrypted and allows downgrades, but I can't seem to find any such version in my searching.

Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You don't need to change the encryption setting since SDFTool detects that automatically. If you check the first post, you will see that your firmware is not encrypted.
