Newbie Looking For Help Finding Suitable UHD Drive

Post by smush »

I've got a collection of blu rays (both regular and UHD) that I would like to rip to my personal media server so I can watch them without needing to use a blu ray player. I've had a look around and found this https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/asus-bd ... E6EALw_wcB

I think the model is 12D2HT? Having looked around on here it seems to be what I need with it supporting BDXL (I think?) but I would just like to confirm. If I'm wrong, I would really appreciate it if someone could suggest some drives to me available in the UK that are reasonably priced. Thanks a lot.

There are already lists of "suitable drives" that support UHD for pretty much all machine types. Have you read them yet?

I haven't seen a list do you have a link to it? Is the drive I mentioned on it?
