Can I rip a UHD with a regular bluray drive?

I just bought a new blu ray drive to use a backup because I have been getting quite a few fails lately and I notice that it does have LibreDrive enabled.
The drive is a Pioneer BDR-212D Firmware version 1.02/ID61 (2022-03-16)
I know that this drive is just a standard bluray, and not made for reading 4ks, and I know that Libre isn't an indication of 4k compatability but I was curious if the drive can be changed to be able to read UHD's or if that is something that is beyond a flash. I read through a few threads and I guess I might just need it spelled out for me a bit simpler..Not necessarily asking for the process, moreso just if it is a possibility. If not I may return it to get a 4k drive, but ripping 4ks is not really a necessity at the moment. The speed of this drive is a significant upgrade on its own. Thank you!
