makemkvcon and LibreDrive support

Post by cpitchford »

Hi all,

For the those of us using makemkvcon, could I get some pointers on what I'm looking for?

I'm keen to know what I could try to find out if my LG BU40N is supported.

I've been using makemkvcon for years on a headless Linux box (with shell scripts mainly) but I've never once used the GUI.

In addition to this, I'm trying to get Win10 booted off a USB stick so I can have a go at changing the firmware, but first steps first.. How can I find out if my drive is supported!

Cheers

If your BU40N has firmware version 1.00 it should be supported.
Cheers :D

MSG:1011,0,1,"Using LibreDrive mode (v04 id=64754CF46FCA)","%1","Using LibreDrive mode (v04 id=64754CF46FCA)"

Outstanding! This is what I was looking for. After a Win10 USB boot, I downgraded from 1.02 to 1.0 and its all working

Thanks all
