I'm late on this, but I would love having this feature!

libbluray has limited Blu-ray menu support. IIRC it doesn't support and/or has poor support for Java-based menus, among other things.

As for applications that make use of libbluray for playback, there's XBMC (not the current release version, but the nightlies do). If I am not mistaken VLC is working on adding libbluray support as well. But neither support menus yet, I think (which is probably explained by the limited menu support of the underlying library).

Having the ability to watch a disc without the 45 minute wait would significantly improve the acceptance factor.

Given the choice, I would much rather have a Fuse based solution than an NFS based solution for a large variety of reasons.

I'd love to see this feature too. I agree that fuse might be better than NFS.

ISTM this would be *the* killer feature for MakeMKV on Linux. I wrote a fairly complicated wrapper around makemkvcon that let's me automatically start a streaming server. It works fine but I stopped development once I saw you were going the file system route.

Is there anything we can do to help you or to encourage you? Have you hit a road block?

REPLY (preferably using fuse :D).

VLC now apparently has experimental bdj support (although it isn't activated for end users yet).

I reply too. It seems Makemkv is the only program I can get to work on my pc to read bluray under linux. So, I would definitely buy it and more willingly so if it has menus support.
Is a "web-page menu" mode possible? Sorry for the totally noob question.
