1.7.9 "Failed to Initialize"

Post by Bigmouse »

Hello, I'm new here.
I'm obviously not a C programmer so I need some help.
Using Linux Mint 10 (Julia) on an old Athlon 2500 with 1 GB ram.
Kernel 2.6.35-22-generic.
Gnome 2.32.0.
The compile and link didn't produce any errors and the program seemed to
install showing up under Sound and Video in the start menu.
All I get is a MakeMKV popup saying that Application failed to Initialize.
Tried from a terminal for any error messages but none appear.
What to try?
Thanks

FIXED - I think.

Just did the How2 Deb post again, must have bungled it the first time as I didn't get the
licence agreement the fist time through. Doesn't show up in Sound and Video start menu though.
Sorry for the hassle.
Ray

Edit--
Wrong again! MakeMKV shows up in the start menu after a reboot, so all is at peace with the world.
I must say that this is an impressive piece of software.
Many thanks to the people involved.
Ray
