Problem with Planet 51 blu-ray : fixed w/v1.5.7

I am using a "BD-ROM PLEXTOR BDDVDR PX-B310U 1.07" with OS X 10.6 and while converting Planet 51 directly to mkv, makemkv crashed at the very end.
Are there logs I can send/look at? I am trying to backup to disk to see if that works.
Using MakeMKV v1.5.5 beta [darwin(x86-release)]
edit: just realized that a newer version is available. trying v1.5.7,
