I am still having this issue with 1.6.13 (although just on 1 disk out of 4 I have tried so far, so there is some improvement).

Debug log attached.

Please do the following test (it sounds silly). Power off your computer (and the bd drive if it's external). It's important that drive should be powered off, not just reset. Then turn on your mac and try to convert the disc that failed again. Please post result here.

Hello there.

I'm new to the world of "MakeMKV" so my apologies if I'm making some dumb mistake.

Right now, what I tried was:
Instal both MakeMKV 1.6.15 and DASPI 1.3 under Lion 10.7.2.
Restarted.

Tried to open 2 Blu-ray discs getting the same error: Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive

Tried the "power off, power on" tip on the previous post without any luck.

Tried to add the key file to the "AACS keys directory", but there's no option to do this on the Mac version of MakeMKV (at least that I could find)

The drive info is:

Code: Select all

Drive Information
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: MATSHITA
Product: BD-CMB UJ-120
Revision: 1.00
Serial number: HD28 030906
Can anyone, please, try to give me some help regarding this?

Thank you!

I decided to try a good old re-install of makemkv and (mainly) DASPI.
So, this time, I was already with the drive plugged in and with a disc in it when I re-installed DASPI.
I could hear the drive being accessed during DASPI installation and lo and behold: MakeMKV can now properly decrypt my test disc.

I still need to properly test with a few more discs, but assuming a similar success I'll happily hit that "buy" button

Thank you for making their great software!

Update:

Aaaand I spoke to soon.
Around 1/3 of the way I'm always getting this type of errors:

Code: Select all

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:UNRECOVERED READ ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00201.m2ts' at offset '8503031808'
Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:NO SEEK COMPLETE' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00201.m2ts' at offset '8505784320'
Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:TRACK FOLLOWING ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00201.m2ts' at offset '8506374144'
Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:NO SEEK COMPLETE' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00201.m2ts' at offset '8506374144'
I'll try with another discs to see if it's disc or software related

The dump file needs to be sent to svq@makemkv.com, rather than uploaded here.
