MKV to DVD

I'm going on a road trip with my kids soon. Anyone have any suggests on how to convert an MKV file to a dvd to play in my van?
You'll need DVD authoring software that accepts MKV files as input.
Or, see if your on board video system can handle video on USB media. If it handles a "video in" source, there are a number of inexpensive media players that use USB flash drives or SD cards as media, and could feed the displays.
