Dvds show as text edit

I was wondering if anyone could help me? All of a sudden any dvd I rip shows up as a text edit, and does not show up in Plex. Blurays still rip fine. Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution? Any help would be appreciated.

Are both your DVD and BD rips to MKV files, or do you use "Backup" for BDs?
If you use Backup, it is possible that your system has been told that the extension "mkv" is no longer a video format. If both are done to MKV files, there should be no difference as far as the operating system is concerned.
