There is a thread about the Blu-Ray, but not the DVD. I have the Redbox version anyone know the track? There are 6 options and none seem to line up to the time when I play it in VLC.

Don't know that I trust VLC for a runtime, but I DO trust IMDB...

I've ripped the first 3 that are large enough to be candidates and the first looks to be correct which is Track 8. The others have audio that's way off.

And yeah the runtime is 1:39:14 on the ripped track. Which is different from VLC (1:39:10) and IMDB which doesn't include seconds.

when i copy that file, i get a boatload of read errors

the disk appears fine, but if you guys are having success, i'm supposing that it could be my particular disk?

Read errors are a pain. Just this past week I had a disk that gave errors similar to what you received, right down to the drive going off-line for a while. Put the disk in a different drive, and zero read errors. I didn't even clean the disk between tries... it was just the difference in alignment of the laser that turned the disk from "bad" to "good".

Moderns discs, Lionsgate especially, they have dummy bad sectors in place. My thread about "Escape Plan" which went unanswered, essentially has the same problem. My solution was Any Dvd. When I load Any Dvd it sees there are dummy bad sectors and fake titles and patches them out, then MakeMKV sees only the valid track and rips it correctly. I possibly could have figured it out on my own with MakeMKV but that was time consuming.
I know Mike is heavily focused on Bluray and UHD Bluray, which is fine I guess as that is my primary usage anyway. Maybe fake bad sector detection varies from disc to disc, or maybe it's something that could be whipped out in code to get MakeMKV support it?
