Ripping selected chapters

Post by Seilenos »

Hello.
First time received a DVD with music videos marked as 1 title with some chapters - 1 chapter - 1 different video.
Need to rip a cople of them. Is it possible in this software?
"toggle item" menu is unavalible.

If the layout of the disk is one file with multiple chapters, then no, MakeMKV won't do it.

You can use MakeMKV to extract the whole file, and then use a tool like MKVmerge (part of MKVToolnix, google can find it) to separate the chapters into individual files.

Thanks a lot. I use MKVToolnix a lot of years but didn't know about this function.

Theoretically, using the manual DVD open feature, you could define "titles" that consist of parts of other files, but I cannot offer any insight on how to do that.

(for me, it's simpler to rip the whole file, then break it up afterward with mkvtoolnix or handbrake)
