A Simple Favor (DVD)

I'm attempting to extract the correct Title from the "A Simple Favor" DVD. When I play it using Apple's DVD Player, it shows that Title 71 is what I want. When I open the disc in MakeMKV, I see "Title #71 was added (17 cell(s), 1:56:37)", but when I look at the lists of titles, none of the titles contain Source ID: 71.

The Duration is: 1:56:51 according to the Apple DVD Player, and none of the tracks have this exact length.

This is the closest in duration:
Title information
Source title ID: 62
Duration: 1:56:37
Chapters count: 16
Size: 4.9 GB
Segment count: 1
Segment map: 2-18
File name: title_t19.mkv

Everything else is longer or shorter by a few minutes.

How do I determine which DVD title to save/extract?

Code: Select all

You might want to try title 60.

Why title 60? What do you see that makes you feel that’s “the one?”

When it comes to Lionsgate DVDs, I just copy all the main movie titles with the options I want. Some titles fail ('medium error'/'uncorrectable error') at the end and weren't the correct ones anyway, the rest show egregious a/v errors such as missing audio/gap or a/v is out of sync by as much as around 500ms, etc, and the correct one is the one that had 0 errors/notices in the log.

I also have "Show AV synchronization messages" enabled.

IIRC, it was 'title_19.mkv' for 'A Simple Favor' that saved without any notices in the log. Never went wrong with this methodology, so far, but it takes longer..
