Help with failure...

Post by Opentoe »

I have a Caprica DVD and just trying to make an MKV file out of it. I'm using Slysoft's Virtual Clone Drive. I've mounted an ISO and MAKEMKV found it and parsed it. But when it tried to create the files it just kept failing. Can someone help me? Here is the log with the debug info: HELP!

Hi!
I have a Caprica DVD and just trying to make an MKV file out of it. I'm using Slysoft's Virtual Clone Drive. I've mounted an ISO...

1) There is NO purpose in first creating an .ISO image file.

2) However, if you want to use the .ISO image file, DO NOT mount it - MakeMKV prefers processing .ISO image files directly...

3) Try changing the "minimum title length" to its original default of 120 seconds and then use MakeMKV to rip the original, commercial DVD.

I have an ISO image from my Dad. He said he created it right from the DVD. I've tried using defaults, changing the time like you said, not mounting the ISO. Just about everything I can think of and just couldn't get any kind of MKV out of it. Not a real huge deal, as I can still watch the ISO with my media player. If the ISO was bad, I would suspect my media player wouldn't play it but it does.

How about one thing at a time? Did you try my suggestions with the "Caprica" DVD?

If so, how did things work out?
