Six Swedes In Paradise - MakeMKV Fails To Rip

MakeMKV v.1.14.5 (x64)
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise (x64) (1903)
MakeMKV failed to save the main title of "Six Swedes In Paradise" (Full Moon Features https://www.fullmoondirect.com/Six-Swed ... _1381.html) which is a very simply authored DVD (while not a DVD-R it isn't copy protected, at all, and authored with Adobe Encore DVD).

It takes an usually log time for the initial scan with a lot of "complex multiplex encountered" messages.

When attempting to save main title (Title #3) to HDD, no errors appear in the MakeMKV console it just creates a 0 byte file and makes no progress. The elapsed time values simply increase.

I tried the disc in two different drives (the PLEXTOR and the ASUS).

(I ended up just using the old DVD Decrypter.)

If yu have the VTS VOB files (decryted) you can use "MakeToolNIX GUI" to create an mkv file. Add and append the related VTS VOB file(s) (up to 9 VOB files, each are 1GB) with append (!!!) (add the first file, than click right on the "source file" VOB, and append the other VOB files). Do not use the "add source files" button option for the other files, because this merges all tracks into the mkv file and you have n video, n audio and so on tracks. If the append option is used, you have one video and the related audio and subtitle tracks only once. Select the tracks needed and mux it. Maybe it works.

Suggestion: Visit https://makemkv.com/download/old/ and pull down an older copy of MakeMKV, such as 1.12.3. Install it in a DIFFERENT directory than your current copy; this will prevent it from trying to wipe out the current install.

Start the old version, and try ripping the DVD again.

I've been working with Mike on an issue where some DVDs that rip with older versions don't work with 1.14.5, and if that's the case here, Mike will want more information from you.

1.12.3 has the exact same issue.

(I've long finished my processing for this DVD, it's now in a nice HEVC mp4 file and the DVD is heading for the shelf.)
