First question: Can you play the MKV file in VLC from VideoLan.org?

If so, the issue is probably with handbrake. There are a number of things that can cause handbrake to declare a file "invalid", depending upon the version you are using. One of them is audio sources. This will show up in the activity logs, which they WILL need over on handbrake.fr to help you.

Yes, MKV-file is playable in VLC. So the problem is with handbrake :)

I'll go and harass them now while trying to compress my MKV to MP4 using other app.

Thanks for the help!
